Why I created QUIDDROIT
Every day, I receive messages. From people who have lived in France for years, who work, who are raising their children here, and who feel lost when facing a procedure. A residence permit to renew, a naturalisation file, a refusal they don't understand, a civic exam they have heard about without knowing whether it applies to them.
The information exists, but it is scattered, written in difficult language, sometimes contradictory. On social media you find everything, and often anything. And when you are afraid of making a mistake, because a mistake can cost you a residence permit or years of waiting, you need clear and accurate answers.
As a legal expert, I started explaining these rules on social media. Thousands of people followed me, and I understood one thing: the need is huge. A video is not always enough. There had to be a place where everything was gathered, checked and explained simply.
That is why I created QUIDDROIT.
Here, every guide is based on the legal texts, with the articles cited. I don't promise miracles. I explain what the law says, what you can do and how to do it.
I wanted to go beyond information. To become French or obtain a resident card, you also have to prepare for the interview and the civic exam. Everyone has tried learning a list of questions by heart, and it is quickly forgotten. So I came up with another way to learn: through games, visual memory and challenge. Putting a timeline in order, finding a matching pair, rebuilding an answer. We remember better what we do ourselves, and we want to come back to it.
QUIDDROIT is a living site. I keep adding to it: new guides, new games, updates as soon as the law changes. What you read today will be even more complete tomorrow.
And the site will open up to other subjects. Very soon, a new section on employment law will be launched: contracts, pay, dismissal, the rights of foreign employees. Because settling in France also means working, and knowing your rights at work is part of integration.
I deeply believe that integration comes through understanding. Knowing your rights, your duties, the history and the values of the country you live in is not an ordeal to endure. It is a way of finding your place.
That is what QUIDDROIT is: the law explained with rigour, and preparation that makes you want to move forward.
